The town of Hinton is affectionately know as the Gateway to the rockies. Fishing, camping, ATV trails, snowmobiling, and country skiing can all be found here. In addition, Hinton hosts a major Nordic skiing event and a provincial racing series throughout the winter. Indoor pool, recreation center, and recently renovated 18 hole golf course are other attractions.
