Crisp fall air, the sound of beating wings followed by a sky full of ducks and geese are some of the things you will enjoying while hunting with Alberta Honker Connection.


General Information:

Itinerary:

Arrive in Edmonton on day 1 and transfer to the motel, hunt ducks and geese on day 2, 3 and 4; depart Edmonton for flight home on day 5.

Ducks: September 13,
Geese: September 13, (6 hunters maximum per day)

Club Take Home Policy:

Limits:Canada Geese - 8/Day,Snow Geese - 10/day,Ducks - 8/day,
Possession:Canada Geese - 16,Snow Geese - 20, Ducks - 16.

Hunters who wish to take home birds must bring coolers for this purpose. Commercial airlines will not allow Styrofoam ice chests. Notify your guide on the first morning hunt if you plan to take home birds. The daily limit of 8 ducks can include only 4 pintails.

Bird Exportation:

Canadian and United States regulations require that one fully feathered wing be attached to all migratory birds (geese and ducks) while transporting between the two countries. All game must be declared in writing on the appropriate form at U.S. Customs upon re-entering the Unites States. U.S. Customs will ask to see your Canadian Hunting License.


Included in Your Hunt:

Four nights accommodations in a motel, (double occupancy); breakfast, lunch and dinner from arrival through departure; three days duck and goose hunting; professional guides who will put out the decoys and retrieve your birds: bird cleaning; hunting licenses and permits; airport pickup, transfer to motel and baggage handling to and from airport in Edmonton.

Rates:

Three day goose and duck hunt - $1,500 U.S. (all applicable licenses and taxes have been included in your price)


Not Include in Price:

Air Transportation, shotgun shells, gratuities, or liquor (during hunting activities no alcoholic drinking allowed).


Addition Costs:

Payable at the camp with U.S. cash or travellers checks, absolutely no personal checks or credit cards will be accepted.


Shotgun Shells:

Shotgun shells (10 or 12 gauge only) will be provided at the lowest available local cost. Shells can be obtained from your guide and the cost added to your personal bill to be paid upon departure. Airline regulations only allow 5 kilos (11 pounds) of ammo per person in baggage.


Deposit, Cancellations and Refunds:

Due to the popularity of Alberta Honker Connection it is important that all hunts be booked and reserved well in advance. A deposit of $700 is required to confirm a reservation. Checks should be made payable to: Alberta Whitetail Connection. Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. In case of a cancellation, payment is forfeited unless a replacement is found.


Hunting Licenses:

Alberta requires non-residents to buy a Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit, Game bird License, Wildlife Certificate (including a Resource Development Stamp) and a Wildlife Identification Number (WIN). We will obtain all of these licenses and permits prior to your arrival.


Travel Options:

Fly to Edmonton. (We will pick you up.)

Travel Documents:

One must have proof of citizenship in the form of either: valid U.S. passport or original or notarized copy of birth certificate. You must carry your proof of citizenship with you at all times while in Canada.


Airlines:

Please reconfirm all return airline reservations upon arrival in Canada. The airlines allow two check-on bags up to 70 pounds each. Overweight or excess bags cost $45.00 Canadian each.


Departure:

On your last shooting day, all extra hunting charges such as shells should be paid to your guide. The guide will transfer you to the airport in Edmonton.
