Some of the finest world class whitetail deer hunting can be found in central Alberta. The areas we hunt are noted for their large trophy whitetails and have produced whitetails that rank high in the province.  Most of the deer hanging in this trophy room are book deer. This picture shows only half the story of one hunter's success, in the areas we hunt.

The breeding phase is what most hunters in Alberta refer to as the rut. This two-week period begins in mid-November, and is when the bucks are actually breeding does. This is the time of the season that most hunters long for. Bucks become very unpredictable and their movements are almost totally controlled by their desire to breed.  The one saving grace is that the does still remain fairly predictable, but we don’t expect to see trophy bucks actively working does in the middle of fields. We feel that they would much rather pick them off in the heavy cover adjacent to the feeding fields and take them to a secretive location to breed.

To help insure your success, we plan our whitetail hunts around the normal peak of the rut. We use local guides who scout the area (approx. 1000 sq. miles) before the season to determine where the big bucks are, the highest concentration of does in the bucks area & the feeding patterns and then plan your hunt according. Our favorite method at this time of the year is to hunt funnels between feeding and bedding areas and catch the big ones in heavy cover while they are traveling between the two looking for receptive does.

Depending on the weather, the rutting activities, and the Bucks movement pattern, we try to provide you with the best opportunity to connect with that big one. As our guilds are paid only a nominal daily fee, with the largest portion of their remuneration being a  bonus based on the size of the the trophy  you harvest, you can be assured that they will place you where they figure your chances are best at tagging the biggest trophy in the area.

To give you that extra edge, we use stands or ground blinds during calm days and if it is real windy and/or we may still hunt some of the thicker wooded areas.

Don't worry about not getting your whitetail. We always have great hunts with a hunter opportunity rate of 100% and a success rate of over 90%. All whitetail hunts are conducted on the park land of east - central Alberta.   This area is one of the best trophy areas in Alberta, and hunts are only available during November which corresponds with the normal whitetail rut.

Expenses before and after your hunt, hunting licenses, GST, butcher, taxidermy and shipping fees home, are not included in the price of your hunt.

Note: the excitement doesn't end with the successful completion of your whitetail hunt, we will then treat you to some coyote hunting for the rest of the week.
